Abstract
An optical element comprises an organic resin and bubbles distributed to have a number density increasing from a first plane of the optical element toward a second plane of the optical element, where a diameter of the bubbles is less than or equal to a wavelength of light which enters the optical element. At least one of the first plane and the second plane may have an uneven structure.

An optical element comprising an organic resin and bubbles,
- wherein the bubbles are distributed to have a number density increasing from a first plane of the optical element toward a second plane of the optical element, and
- wherein a diameter of the bubbles is less than or equal to a wavelength of light which enters the optical element.
A light emitting device comprising a light emitting element and an optical element, the light emitting element being capable of emitting light,
- wherein the optical element includes an organic resin and bubbles,
- wherein the bubbles are distributed to have a number density increasing from a first plane of the optical element toward a second plane of the optical element,
- wherein the first plane of the optical element is attachable to the light emitting element, and
- wherein a diameter of the bubbles is less than or equal to a wavelength of the light which enters the optical element.
A method for manufacturing an optical element, comprising the steps of:
- providing a medium between an upper mold and a bottom mold;
- heating the upper mold and the bottom mold to a temperature higher than or equal to a softening point of the medium;
- injecting bubbles into the medium from the bottom mold side while the heating;
- and
- stopping injection of the bubbles,
- wherein a diameter of the bubbles is less than or equal to a wavelength of light which enters the optical element,
- wherein a first plane of the optical element is in contact with the upper mold and a second plane of the optical element is in contact with the bottom mold, and
- wherein the bubbles are distributed to have a number density increasing from the first plane of the optical element toward the second plane of the optical element.
