Web Application Optimization

A computerized method comprising:

• analyzing a server-side program associated with a web page;
• determining whether at least a portion of the server-side program produces, upon execution by a server, a static result;
• and
• if the determining step produces a positive result, then modifying the at least a portion of the server-side program to incorporate the static result.

A computerized method comprising:

• identifying instructions executable by a server that, when executed, assign a value to an object property;
• identifying a substitute value that corresponds to the value;
• assigning an index value to the object property;
• storing the substitute value and the index value;
• creating one or more executable instructions that, when executed, will assign the substitute value to a substitute object property.

An apparatus comprising:

• a computer-readable physical medium containing instructions executable on a computer and that when executed cause the computer to:
• select a web application code that includes instructions that when executed or interpreted by one or more computers produce a visual output;
• identify a server-side executable associated with the web application code;
• identify an object used by the server-side executable;
• analyze the server-side executable to evaluate how the server-side executable uses the object;
• determine whether executable code provides functionality of the object that is used by the server-side executable;
• and
• modify the web application code to use the executable code instead of the object, thereby producing a modified web application code.
