Method for cutting blade control system, particularly for cutting-off machines for cutting logs of web material

A control method for a cutting blade, particularly for cutting-off machines for logs of web material, the cutting blade being movable toward said log by a motorization, characterized in that it comprises the following steps:

• setting at least one threshold deformation value of said blade;
• measuring a deformation value on at least a portion of said cutting blade;
• comparing said measured deformation value with said at least one threshold deformation value;
• and
• according to the result of the comparing step, generating at least one control signal to be sent to said motorization to order the stopping or the restarting of said motorization.

A control method for a cutting blade, particularly for cutting-off machines for logs of web material, the cutting blade being movable toward said log by a motorization, characterized in that it comprises the following steps:

• setting first and second threshold deformation values of said blade;
• measuring a deformation value on at least a portion of said cutting blade;
• comparing said measured deformation value with said first threshold deformation value;
• comparing said measured deformation value with said second threshold deformation value;
• and
• according to the result of the comparing steps, generating a control signal to be sent to the motorization of the machine to order the stopping or the restarting of said motorization.
