Abstract
An article of manufacture for warming human extremities via graduated thermal insulation with a blanket comprised of concentrations of and transitions to and from concentrations of various types of woven thread fabric or non-woven fabric, having various properties of thermal insulation.
Claims20
A fiber for providing varying energy properties along its length, comprising:
- at least one woven fiber having a fiber length, a fiber diameter and an energy property, said energy property being graded along the length of the fiber itself.
A non-extruded fiber for use in woven fabrics providing varying energy properties along its length, comprising:
- at least one fiber having a fiber length, a fiber diameter and an energy property, said energy property being graded along the length of the fiber itself.
A thermally graded fabric comprising:
- a length of woven fabric comprising a linear graduated transition of an energy property over the length of the fabric, said graduated transition of the energy property comprising one of:
- a) a linear decrease in the energy property over the length of the fabric;
- b) a linear increase in the energy property over the length of the fabric.
A fabric having varying energy properties along a span, comprising:
- at least one woven fiber itself having a fiber length;
- and
- an energy property of the fiber being graded along the fiber length to provide varying energy properties along the span.
