Methods for sequencing electronic media content

Software apparatus configured for storage and execution on an electronic reading device, said reading device connected via a network to one or more remote computer servers, said apparatus comprising:

• software being operable, when executed on the reading device, to automatically fetch selected educational electronic media content from one or more of the remote servers;
• and
• software being operable, when executed on the reading device, to automatically and dynamically determine a presentation sequence for sequential display of the educational media content on the reading device, the sequence based at least partly on an input sequencing specification and at least partly on a user's interaction with the reading device.

A method for use with an electronic reading device connected via a network to one or more remote computer servers, the method comprising:

• fetching from the remote servers, using the electronic reading device, selected electronic media content comprising a plurality of media objects, said media objects being associated with an original viewing sequence;
• automatically determining, using the electronic reading device, a new sequence of the plurality of media objects for presentation on said electronic reading device, the new sequence not constrained to be the same as the original viewing sequence, and wherein said determination is based on input including an input specification and observed user behavior.
