Abstract
The invention relates to a peptidic hydrolyzate enriched in bioactive peptide, capable of reinforcing the skin barrier function and stimulating epidermal differentiation. The invention is also relative to a cosmetic and/or pharmaceutical composition comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium, said hydrolyzate as active principle. The invention further relates to the use, in a cosmetic composition, of the active principle according to the invention to activate the HMG-CoA reductase in the cutaneous cells, and to prevent and combat the cutaneous signs of aging and photo-aging.
Claims18
A peptidic hydrolyzate comprising:
- a bioactive peptide capable of reinforcing the barrier function of the epidermis, said bioactive peptide contains 4 to 6 amino acids including at least one glycine residue, one leucine residue, and one glutamic acid residue.
A cosmetic composition comprising:
- a physiologically acceptable medium;
- and,
- a peptidic hydrolyzate in said medium, the peptidic hydrolyzate comprising a bioactive peptide capable of reinforcing the barrier function of the epidermis, said bioactive peptide containing 4 to 6 amino acids including at least one glycine residue, one leucine residue, and one glutamic acid residue;
- wherein the peptidic hydrolyzate is present in a quantity representing from 0.0001% to 20% of the total weight of the composition.
A pharmaceutical composition comprising:
- a physiologically acceptable medium;
- and
- a peptidic hydrolyzate as a drug in said medium, said peptidic hydrolyzate comprising a bioactive peptide capable of reinforcing the barrier function of the epidermis, said bioactive peptide containing 4 to 6 amino acids including at least one glycine residue, one leucine residue, and one glutamic acid residue.
A cosmetic composition comprising:
- an effective quantity of a peptidic hydrolyzate as an active principle activating HMG-CoA reductase, said peptidic hydrolyzate comprising a bioactive peptide capable of reinforcing the barrier function of the epidermis, said bioactive peptide containing 4 to 6 amino acids including at least one glycine residue, one leucine residue, and one glutamic acid residue.
A method for preventing or treating the cutaneous manifestations of aging and/or photo-aging, the method comprising:
- providing a composition comprising an effective quantity of a peptidic hydrolyzate, said peptidic hydrolyzate comprising a bioactive peptide capable of reinforcing the barrier function of the epidermis, said bioactive peptide containing 4 to 6 amino acids including at least one glycine residue, one leucine residue, and one glutamic acid residue;
- and
- topically applying the composition to the skin or epithelial appendages to be treated.
