## Abstract

A collaboration service operation method provides an efficient and flexible method for operating services implemented across multiple systems. In particular, the method includes determining a change in a master record, and determining the nature of the change. Based on the nature of the change, the method further determines services to be implemented according to business rules and also determines to which systems the services will be implemented.

wherein the logic to determine the one or more services to be provisioned based on the nature of the modification comprises determining the one or more services to be provisioned based on the business rules; and
wherein the logic to determine one or more target systems in which to implement the determined one or more services comprises determining the one or more target systems based on the business rules.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the one or more target systems comprises one or more of cloud-based systems.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the determined one or more services are defined in a platform data model different from a system data model used by the determined one or more systems; and
wherein the logic to communicate with the determined one or more systems to implement the determined one or more services comprises:
determining an adaptor for translating the platform data model to the system data model and for translating the system data model to the platform data model; and
communicating with the determined system through the determined adaptor.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the service operation program further comprises logic that when executed causes the processor to:
monitor usage of the implemented one or more services; and
generate metrics based on the usage of the implemented one or more services.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the service operation program further comprises logic that when executed causes the processor to:
monitor the implemented one or more services; and
if a problem occurs on the implemented one or more services, diagnose the problem, and correct the problem or suggest a solution to a user.

### Claim 9

A system for operations management, the system comprising:
a processor; and
stored on a computer readable memory coupled to the processor:
a service operation program comprising logic that when executed causes the processor to:
determine that a modification is made in a master record;
determine a nature of the modification;
determine one or more services to be provisioned based on the nature of the modification;
determine one or more target systems to which to implement the determined service; and
communicate with the determined one or more systems to implement the determined service.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The system of claim 9,
wherein the determined one or more target systems comprises a plurality of target systems;
wherein the determined one or more services comprise a single service; and
wherein the logic to communicate with the determined one or more target systems to implement the determined one or more services includes implementing the single service across the plurality of target systems.

### Claim 11 (depends on 9)

The system of claim 9,
wherein the determined one or more target systems comprise a plurality of target systems,
wherein the determined one or more services comprise a plurality of services; and
wherein the service operation program further comprises logic that when executed causes the processor to:
determine a corresponding service of the plurality of services to implement for each of the plurality of target systems, and
repeatedly communicate with the plurality of target systems to implement the corresponding service until all of the plurality of services are implemented.

### Claim 12 (depends on 9)

The system of claim 9, wherein the service operation program further comprises logic that when executed causes the processor to identify business rules corresponding to the determined nature of the modification;
wherein the logic to determine the one or more services to be provisioned based on the nature of the modification comprises determining the one or more services to be provisioned based on the business rules; and
wherein the logic to determine one or more target systems in which to implement the determined one or more services comprises determining the one or more target systems based on the business rules.

### Claim 13 (depends on 9)

The system of claim 9, wherein the one or more target systems comprise one or more of an on-premise system, a cloud-based system, or a legacy system.
