Abstract
A system and method for improving signaling channel robustness. Additional error correction is provided for (L1) dynamic signaling that is carried in P2 symbols in such way that high time diversity can be provided. In other embodiments, transmitted services are scheduled such that services will rotate or “move” between frames, thereby ensuring that a first slot for a service is not always transmitted in the same frequency.

A method, comprising:
- receiving a particular frame including dynamic data in a pilot symbol;
- calculating a signaling error correction based upon received error correction data, at least a portion of the error correction data having been received in a corresponding pilot symbol of at least one prior frame;
- and
- based upon the calculated signaling error correction, processing the dynamic data received in the particular frame.

An apparatus, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory unit communicatively connected to the processor and including:
- computer code configured to receive a particular frame including dynamic data in a pilot symbol;
- computer code configured to calculate a signaling error correction based upon received error correction data, at least a portion of the error correction data having been received in a corresponding pilot symbol of at least one prior frame;
- and
- computer code configured to, based upon the calculated signaling error correction, process the dynamic data received in the particular frame.
