Abstract
A system, apparatus and method for efficient utilization of available band-width on the system's bus connection. The system includes a scheduler configured to receive a virtual schedule that provides at least one slot for sending a message over the communication bus and to confirm a trigger condition. A module is configured to send a message over the communication bus when the trigger condition is confirmed.
Claims20
A system, comprising:
- a plurality of modules connected to a communication bus, at least one of the plurality of modules comprising:
- a scheduler configured to receive a virtual schedule that provides at least one slot for sending at least one message over the communication bus and to confirm a trigger condition,
- wherein the at least one of the plurality of modules is configured to send the at least one message over the communication bus when the trigger condition is confirmed.
An apparatus, comprising:
- a scheduler configured to receive a virtual schedule and to confirm a trigger condition for sending at least one message in relation to the virtual schedule, wherein the virtual schedule includes at least one slot for sending the at least one message over a communication bus;
- and
- a transmitter configured to send the at least one message when the trigger condition is confirmed and to transmit the at least one message inside of the slot.
A method, comprising:
- confirming a trigger condition for sending at least one message based on a virtual schedule, wherein the virtual schedule comprises at least one slot for sending the at least first message over a communication bus;
- and
- transmitting the at least one message from a module over the communication bus upon confirmation of the trigger condition, wherein the transmitting begins inside the at least one slot for sending the at least one message.
