Abstract
One embodiment selects from a plurality of actions performed by one or more users of a social networking system a first action and one or more second actions, wherein each action has one or more attributes; computes a score for each second action by comparing the one or more attributes of each second action with the one or more attributes of the first action; ranks the one or more second actions according to the score computed for each second action; and selects from the one or more second actions one or more highest-ranking second actions as being related to the first action.
Claims30
A method comprising:
- by one or more computing devices,
- selecting from a plurality of actions performed by one or more users of a social networking system a first action and one or more second actions, wherein each action has one or more attributes;
- computing a score for each second action by comparing the one or more attributes of each second action with the one or more attributes of the first action;
- ranking the one or more second actions according to the score computed for each second action;
- and
- selecting from the one or more second actions one or more highest-ranking second actions as being related to the first action.
A system, comprising:
- a memory comprising instructions executable by one or more processors;
- and
- the one or more processors coupled to the memory and operable to execute the instructions, the one or more processors being operable when executing the instructions to:
- select from a plurality of actions performed by one or more users of a social networking system a first action and one or more second actions, wherein each action has one or more attributes;
- compute a score for each second action by comparing the one or more attributes of each second action with the one or more attributes of the first action;
- rank the one or more second actions according to the score computed for each second action;
- and
- select from the one or more second actions one or more highest-ranking second actions as being related to the first action.
One or more computer-readable tangible storage media embodying software operable when executed by one or more computer systems to:
- select from a plurality of actions performed by one or more users of a social networking system a first action and one or more second actions, wherein each action has one or more attributes;
- compute a score for each second action by comparing the one or more attributes of each second action with the one or more attributes of the first action;
- rank the one or more second actions according to the score computed for each second action;
- and
- select from the one or more second actions one or more highest-ranking second actions as being related to the first action.
