A method for producing a compound represented by formula (I) or a salt thereof by optical resolution:
- the method comprising:
- dissolving a mixture of compounds represented by formulas (II), (III), (IV), and (V) and an optically active organic acid in a solvent:
- and then depositing a crystal,
- wherein:
- R1 is a hydrogen atom or a C1-C6 alkyl group, and
- R2 is a hydrogen atom or a protective group for the carboxy group.
