Abstract
Disclosed are a process for preparing organometalloids functionalized with an unsymmetrical 1,1-disubstituted alkene, and compounds prepared therewith.

A process for preparing a compound of formula (III), comprising reacting a compound of formula (I) with a compound of formula (II) in the presence of a transition metal catalyst or a precursor thereof,
- wherein,
- M is a metalloid,
- R1, R2 and R3 are each independently selected from the group consisting of H, alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, arylalkyl, hydroxyl, alkoxyl, aroxyl, halogen, amino, alkylamino, arylamino, mercapto, alkylthio and arylthio, and
- R4 is alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or arylalkyl.
