Abstract
A cleaning composition including a primarily C12 quaternary functionalized alkyl polyglucoside, a water conditioning agent, an acid source, a solvent, and water. In one embodiment, the cleaning composition is substantially free of alkyl phenol ethoxylates. The cleaning composition is capable of removing soils including up to 20% proteins. The cleaning compositions include a biorenewable, environmentally friendly alternative to nonyl phenol ethoxylates and exhibit superior cleaning of food soils.
Claims21
A cleaning composition comprising:
- (a) a primarily C12 quaternary functionalized alkyl polyglucoside;
- (b) a water conditioning agent;
- and
- (c) water.
A hard surface cleaner comprising:
- a primarily C12 quaternary functionalized alkyl polyglucoside;
- wherein the hard surface cleaner is substantially free of alkyl phenol ethoxylates.
A method of removing soils from a surface, the method comprising:
- (a) diluting a cleaner with water of dilution to form a use solution, wherein the cleaner comprises a primarily C12 quaternary functionalized alkyl polyglucoside, a water conditioning agent and water;
- and
- (b) contacting the surface with the use solution;
- (c) wherein the soil includes up to about 20% proteins.
