Abstract
The present invention features compositions in which nano-carriers are synthesized with polymers that respond to lower pH and/or ROS by being degraded. The compositions may be utilized to selectively deliver payloads within patients by responding to lower pH and/or ROS at localities within the patient. The present invention also features methods of synthesizing nano-carriers that are degraded by lower pH and/or ROS.
Claims34
A composition comprising a logic gate nano-carrier wherein the logic gate nano-carrier comprises at least one polymer and wherein the polymer comprises at least one response element that responds to lower pH and/or reactive oxygen species (“ROS”).
A method of delivering a payload to a tissue comprising the steps of administering a Logic Gate nano-carrier wherein the nano-carrier further comprises (i) a polymer and (ii) a payload;
- wherein the nano-carrier is degraded in response to lower pH and/or ROS;
- and wherein the payload is released.
A method of synthesizing a Logic Gate nano-carrier using a polymer that responds to lower pH and/or ROS.
The method of 31, wherein the polymer responds to lower pH.
The method of 31, wherein the polymer responds to ROS.
The method of 31, wherein the polymer is a molecularly engineered polymer.
