Storage medium having stored thereon display control program, display control apparatus, display control system, and display control method

A display control apparatus that displays an image on a display device, the display control apparatus comprising:

• captured image acquisition means for acquiring a captured image captured by a real camera;
• color detection means for, in the captured image acquired by the captured image acquisition means, detecting at least one pixel having specific range color information in color information including at least one selected from the group including RUB values, a hue, a saturation, and a brightness;
• image generation means for, on the basis of the specific range color information of the at least one pixel detected by the color detection means, generating an image of an object to be placed in a virtual world;
• and
• image display control means for displaying the image generated by the image generation means on the display device.

A display control system, including a plurality of apparatuses configured to communicate with each other, that displays an image on a display device, the display control system comprising:

• captured image acquisition means for acquiring a captured image captured by a real camera;
• color detection means for, in the captured image acquired by the captured image acquisition means, detecting at least one pixel having specific range color information in color information including at least one selected from the group including RGB values, a hue, a saturation, and a brightness;
• image generation means for, on the basis of the specific range color information of the at least one pixel detected by the color detection means, generating an image of an object to be placed in a virtual world;
• and
• image display control means for displaying the image generated by the image generation means on the display device.

A display control method performed by a processor or a cooperation of a plurality of processors included in a display control system including at least one information processing apparatus capable of performing display control processing for displaying an image on a display device, the display control method comprising:

• a captured image acquisition step of acquiring a captured image captured by a real camera;
• a color detection step of, in the captured image acquired in the captured image acquisition step, detecting at least one pixel having specific range color information in color information including at least one selected from the group including RGB values, a hue, a saturation, and a brightness;
• an image generation step of, on the basis of the specific range color information of the at least one pixel detected in the color detection step, generating an image of an object to be placed in a virtual world;
• and
• an image display control step of displaying the image generated in the image generation step on the display device.
