Abstract
Provided are solar cells and methods of forming the same. The solar cell includes an anti-reflection layer on a substrate, a first electrode on the anti-reflection layer, a photo-electro conversion layer on the first electrode, and a second electrode on the photo-electro conversion layer.

A solar cell comprising:
- an anti-reflection layer on a substrate;
- a first electrode on the anti-reflection layer;
- a photo-electro conversion layer on the first electrode;
- and
- a second electrode on the photo-electro conversion layer,
- wherein the anti-reflection layer comprises a nanopattern on the substrate, and a nanostructure having a refractive index lower than a refractive index of the first electrode on the nanopattern.

A method of forming a solar cell, the method comprising:
- forming a transparent conductive oxide layer on a substrate;
- patterning the transparent conductive oxide layer to form a nanopattern;
- forming a nanoparticle layer on the nanopattern;
- and
- forming a first electrode on the nanoparticle layer.
