Abstract
A milk pump that is connected to, but electrically isolated from dairy lines, pipes, and other electrically conductive components using insulators in the milk pump between a motor and a pump.

A milk pump comprising:
- a motor;
- a motor output shaft operatively engaged with the motor;
- a mounting shaft joined to the motor output shaft;
- an electrical isolation plate engaged with the mounting shaft;
- an impeller shaft engaged with the isolation plate and spaced apart from the mounting shaft;
- and
- an impeller operatively engaged with the impeller shaft.
