Barrier Coating Corrosion Control Methods and Systems for Interior Piping Systems

A system for renovating pipes, comprising:

• a supply of pressurized gas, the gas supply having an outlet.
• a barrier coating dispensing unit for dispensing a liquid barrier coating into a first end of the pipe by the compressed air;
• and
• a vacuum pump connected to a second end of the pipe, whereby the liquid barrier coating is dispensed into the first end of the pipe and pulled out at the second end of the pipe by the vacuum pump until interior walls of the pipe are coated with the barrier coating.

A system for renovating pipes, comprising:

• a supply of pressurized gas, the gas supply having an outlet;
• a mixer having a first inlet connected to the outlet of the gas supply, a second inlet for supply of abrasive particles to the mixer for mixing with the gas, and an outlet for the mixture of pressurized gas and abrasive particles, the mixer outlet being connected to a first end of a pipe;
• and
• a vacuum pump connected to a second end of the pipe, whereby the mixture of gas and abrasive particles is blown into the first end of the pipe and sucked out at the second end of the pipe in order to clean the pipe.
