Abstract
The invention is directed to isolated polynucleotide and polypeptides of the PsAFB2 and PsAFB6 genes from Pisum sativum; nucleic acid constructs, vectors and host cells incorporating the polynucleotide sequences; and methods of producing and using same. Also provided are transformed cells, and transgenic seeds and plants with enhanced abiotic stress tolerance.
Claims17
An isolated polynucleotide encoding a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence selected from:
- at least 300, at least 400 or at least 500 contiguous residues of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 2 or of an amino acid sequence having at least 85% sequence identity therewith;
- or
- at least 300, at least 400 or at least 500 contiguous residues of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 4 or of an amino acid sequence having at least 85% sequence identity therewith,
- wherein expression of the polynucleotide in a plant modulates abiotic stress tolerance in the transgenic plant.
