Application-specific personalization for data display

A method for presenting graphical elements on a display device comprising:

• detecting a type of the display device, wherein the type of the display device includes a set of viewable dimensions available for displaying graphical information;
• based on the set of viewable dimensions available for the display device, generating a set of workspace display configuration indicia configured for positioning one or more aggregate moveable graphical elements;
• and
• automatically applying the set of workspace display configuration indicia including, positioning each aggregate moveable graphical element in accordance with the set of workspace display configuration indicia;
• for each aggregate moveable graphical element:
• determining associated data objects for said each aggregate moveable graphical element;
• receiving a selected function selected from one of a first function or a second function;
• displaying in said each aggregate moveable graphical element a value, calculated by applying the selected function for said each aggregate moveable graphical element on the associated data objects.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium for storing computer-readable instructions, said computer readable instructions being configured to present graphical elements on a display device, the instructions comprising:

• instructions for detecting a type of the display device, wherein the type of the display device includes a set of viewable dimensions available for displaying graphical information;
• instructions for generating a set of workspace display configuration indicia configured for positioning one or more aggregate moveable graphical elements based on the set of viewable dimensions available for the display device;
• and
• instructions for automatically applying the set of workspace display configuration indicia including, positioning each aggregate moveable graphical element in accordance with the set of workspace display configuration indicia;
• instructions for each aggregate moveable graphical element including:
• instructions for determining associated data objects for said each aggregate moveable graphical element;
• instructions for receiving a selected function selected from one of a first function or a second function;
• and
• instructions for displaying in said each aggregate moveable graphical element a value, calculated by applying the selected function for said each aggregate moveable graphical element on the associated data objects.
