Abstract
Implementations and techniques for traffic modeling of overlaid networks are generally disclosed.
Claims20
A method for managing a wireless network at a network management module comprising:
- receiving traffic information associated with a first wireless network and a second wireless network, wherein the first wireless network is configured in accordance with a first wireless communications standard, and wherein the second wireless network is configured in accordance with a second wireless communications standard different than the first wireless communications standard;
- simulating behavior of the second wireless network in response to the traffic information;
- and
- simulating behavior of the first wireless network in response to the traffic information and in response to the simulated behavior of the second wireless network,
- wherein simulating behavior of the second wireless network includes estimating user migration from the second wireless network to the first wireless network.
2 more elements
An article comprising a computer program product having stored therein instructions that, if executed, result in:
- receiving traffic information associated with a first wireless network and a second wireless network, wherein the first wireless network is configured in accordance with a first wireless communications standard, and wherein the second wireless network is configured in accordance with a second wireless communications standard different than the first wireless communications standard;
- simulating behavior of the second wireless network in response to the traffic information;
- and
- simulating behavior of the first wireless network in response to the traffic information and in response to the simulated behavior of the second wireless network,
- wherein simulating behavior of the second wireless network includes estimating user migration from the second wireless network to the first wireless network.
2 more elements
A system comprising:
- a network management module configured to:
- receive traffic information associated with a first wireless network and a second wireless network, wherein the first wireless network is configured in accordance with a first wireless communications standard, and wherein the second wireless network is configured in accordance with a second wireless communications standard different than the first wireless communications standard;
- simulate behavior of the second wireless network in response to the traffic information;
- and
- simulate behavior of the first wireless network in response to the traffic information and in response to the simulated behavior of the second wireless network,
- wherein simulating behavior of the second wireless network includes estimating user migration from the second wireless network to the first wireless network.
