Abstract
Re-calibration of pre-recorded images during interventions is proposed, utilizing an interventional system comprising an imaging device providing images of an object, a needle device, and a processing device. The needle device comprises a sensor for providing data corresponding to tissue properties. The processing device is adapted to perform an overlay registration of pre-recorded images and live images provided by the imaging device, utilizing the data from the sensor. Thus, the accuracy of an overlay of images is increased.
Claims14
An interventional system, comprising:
- an imaging device (500) providing a live image of an object,
- a needle device (200),
- a processing device (600),
- wherein the needle device (200) comprises a sensor (220) for providing data corresponding to tissue properties,
- wherein the processing device (600) is adapted to perform an overlay registration of a pre-recorded image and the live image, utilizing the data from the sensor (220).
A method of combining a pre-recorded image with a live image of an object of interest, the method comprising the steps of:
- making an overlay of the pre-recorded image and the live image,
- acquiring local tissue information,
- re-calibrating the overlay of the images utilizing the acquired local tissue information.
