Abstract
In an imaging device for capturing an image by applying illuminating light emitted from a light source to a part to be observed through a light exit window and receiving light coming from the part to be observed when the illuminating light is applied, a light exit window cleaning unit discharges a liquid toward the light exit window to clean the light exit window in response to an instruction to start application of the illuminating light.
Claims11
A method of cleaning a light exit window of an imaging device, the imaging device including a light applying unit for applying illuminating light emitted from a light source to a part to be observed through the light exit window, and an imaging unit for capturing an image by receiving light coming from the part to be observed when the illuminating light is applied, the method comprising:
- receiving an instruction to start application of the illuminating light;
- and
- discharging a liquid toward the light exit window in response to the instruction to start application of the illuminating light.
An imaging device including a light applying unit for applying illuminating light emitted from a light source to a part to be observed through a light exit window, and an imaging unit for capturing an image by receiving light coming from the part to be observed when the illuminating light is applied, the imaging device further comprising:
- a light exit window cleaning unit for discharging a liquid toward the light exit window;
- and
- a light-application start instruction receiving unit for receiving an instruction to start application of the illuminating light,
- wherein the light exit window cleaning unit discharges the liquid in response to the instruction to start application of the illuminating light.
