Abstract
The present invention relates to a method of identifying an expression level of cystathionine gamma lyase (CTH) in a sample from a subject. The present invention further discloses a method of diagnosing a subject with cancer having risk of resistance to a platinum-based drug. The present invention also discloses a method for improving efficacy of a platinum-based drug in a subject suffering a cancer.
Claims18
A method of identifying an expression level of cystathionine gamma lyase (CTH) in a sample from a subject comprising:
- (a) determining the normal expression level of CTH from a normal subject;
- (b) obtaining the sample from the subject;
- and
- (c) determining the expression level of CTH from the sample as over expression if the expression level of CTH from the sample is higher than the normal expression level of CTH;
- or the expression level of CTH from the sample as normal expression if the expression level of CTH from the sample is equal to the normal expression level of CTH.
