An odor-inhibiting composition comprising water-absorbing polymer particles and at least one oxidase, said composition being essentially free of peroxidases or a specific catalytic peroxidase activity of the composition being less than 0.001 μmol of substrate g−1·min−1.
A hygiene article comprising water-absorbing polymer particles, at least one oxidase, and a substrate of the oxidase, said oxidase being essentially free of peroxidases or a specific catalytic peroxidase activity of the oxidase being less than 0.001 μmol of substrate g−1·min−1.
