A catalyst for reforming a tar-containing gas, wherein:
- the catalyst comprises at least one composite oxide as oxide containing nickel, magnesium, cerium and aluminum;
- and
- the content of alumina as a single compound is limited to 5% by mass or less.
A method for preparing a catalyst for reforming a tar-containing gas, the catalyst including alumina as a single compound limited to 5% by mass or less, the method comprising:
- coprecipitating a precipitate from a mixed solution containing a nickel compound, a magnesium compound and a cerium compound;
- burning the precipitate;
- adding an alumina powder and water, or an alumina sol to the burned precipitate to produce a mixture;
- and
- baking the mixture.
A method for preparing a catalyst for reforming a tar-containing gas, the catalyst including alumina as a single compound limited to 5% by mass or less, the method comprising:
- coprecipitating a precipitate from a mixed solution containing a nickel compound, a magnesium compound and a cerium compound;
- adding an alumina powder and water, or an alumina sol to the precipitate to produce a mixture;
- and
- baking the mixture.
