Abstract
Systems and methods for improved communications using tunneled direct link setup are described herein. The systems and methods relate to discovery, link setup, channel switching, multicasting, link selection, and quality of service implemented in conjunction with tunneled direct link setup.
Claims32
A method implemented in a wireless apparatus, the method comprising:
- communicating with an access point on an access point link having at least one quality of service parameter;
- and
- communicating with another wireless apparatus on a direct link having at least one quality of service parameter, wherein the at least one quality of service parameter for the direct link is the same as the at least one quality of service parameter for the access point link.
A wireless apparatus comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- a processor coupled to the memory, the memory and processor being cooperatively configured to:
- communicate with an access point on an access point link having at least one quality of service parameter;
- and
- communicate with another wireless apparatus on a direct link having at least one quality of service parameter, wherein the at least one quality of service parameter for the direct link is the same as the at least one quality of service parameter for the access point link.

- means for communicating with an access point on an access point link having at least one quality of service parameter;

- means for communicating with another wireless apparatus on a direct link having at least one quality of service parameter, wherein the at least one quality of service parameter for the direct link is the same as the at least one quality of service parameter for the access point link.
A computer readable medium comprising instructions that when executed cause an apparatus to:
- communicate with an access point on an access point link having at least one quality of service parameter;
- and
- communicate with another wireless apparatus on a direct link having at least one quality of service parameter, wherein the at least one quality of service parameter for the direct link is the same as the at least one quality of service parameter for the access point link.
