Abstract
A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving via a high speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) is disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) receives the HS-DSCH while operating in a cell forward access channel (Cell-FACH) state, a cell paging channel (Cell-PCH) state, or URA paging channel (URA-PCH) state.
Claims10
A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) comprising:
- circuitry configured to receive and process a high speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) transmission having a unique HS-DSCH radio network temporary identifier (H-RNTI) provided to the WTRU, the HS-DSCH received with the WTRU operating in any one of a cell forward access channel (Cell-FACH) state, a cell paging channel (Cell-PCH) state, or URA paging channel (URA-PCH) state;
- and
- wherein the unique H-RNTI is used in part to receive a dedicated logical channel on the HS-DSCH.
A method performed by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), the method comprising:
- receiving and processing by the WTRU a high speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) transmission having a unique HS-DSCH radio network temporary identifier (H-RNTI) provided to the WTRU, the HS-DSCH received with the WTRU operating in any one of a cell forward access channel (Cell-FACH) state, a cell paging channel (Cell-PCH) state, or URA paging channel (URA-PCH) state;
- and
- wherein the unique H-RNTI is used in part to receive a dedicated logical channel on the HS-DSCH.
