Method for providing a measurement report from a user equipment to a network in a wireless communication system

A communication device for use in a wireless communication system, the communication device comprising:

• a control circuit;
• a processor installed in the control circuit;
• and
• a memory installed in the control circuit and coupled to the processor;
• wherein the processor is configured to execute a program code stored in memory to provide a measurement report from a User Equipment (UE) to a network in a wireless communication system by:
• using a configuration to indicate whether or not a corresponding additional measurement result should be included in the measurement report;
• and
• using the configuration to indicate more than one type of additional measurement result.

A communication device for use in a wireless communication system, the communication device comprising:

• a control circuit;
• a processor installed in the control circuit;
• and
• a memory installed in the control circuit and coupled to the processor;
• wherein the processor is configured to execute a program code stored in memory to provide a measurement report from a User Equipment (UE) to a network in a wireless communication system by:
• triggering a measurement report;
• and
• omitting an additional measurement result in the measurement report if the measurement report is triggered by inter-Radio Access Technology measurement (inter-RAT measurement).
