A laundry machine, comprising:
- a cabinet having an opening for loading and/or unloading laundry;
- a door selectively opening and/or closing the opening of the cabinet;
- and
- a door positioning unit for positioning the door away from the cabinet.

- a shaft having a non-circular cross-section for stepwise rotation;

- a boss engaged with the shaft.
