Abstract
An engine with an inclined cylinder, including a crankshaft horizontally-disposed, and two balancer shafts arranged in parallel to the crankshaft, wherein a drive gear for driving balancer is provided in the crankshaft, driven gears respectively meshed with the drive gear are provided in the balancer shafts, the two balancer shafts are divided into areas on the both sides of a center line of the cylinder and into upper and lower regions relative to an axis of the crankshaft, and axes of the balancer shafts are arranged so as to be placed within a range of a diameter of the drive gear.
Claims9
An engine with an inclined cylinder, comprising:
- a crankshaft disposed substantially horizontally;
- two balancer shafts arranged substantially in parallel to the crankshaft;
- a drive gear for balancer provided in the crankshaft;
- and
- two driven gears respectively provided in the balancer shafts and meshed with the drive gear, wherein
- the two balancer shafts are arranged and divided into areas on the both sides of a center line of the cylinder and into upper and lower regions relative to an axis of the crankshaft, and
- axes of the balancer shafts are arranged so as to be placed substantially within a range of a diameter of the drive gear when seen from the upper side of the engine.
