Abstract
Compositions and methods for reduction in adhesion between wet paper web and roll surfaces in papermaking process are disclosed. The method is particularly useful for improvements in press section roll release.

A method of reducing paper web adhesion on a press roll and improving release from roll surface in papermaking process comprising applying to the roll surfaces a composition comprising at least one low molecular weight hydrophobic imidazoline.
