Abstract
A method using integrated software and algorithms for measuring, modeling, benchmarking and validating any Enterprise Content management system, forms processing data capture system or data entry system, including, at the user's option, ingest of special engineered test materials such as a Digital Test Deck®, applying data quality scoring algorithms, use of cost models, validation of downstream business processes, and implementing statistical process control.
Claims7
A method of evaluating a rules-driven processing of data by a data processing system comprising steps of
- creating a first set of data files simulating a variety of content types having predetermined classifications under a set of rules,
- seeding the first set of data files having predetermined classifications among a second set of data files that do not have predetermined classifications under the same set of rules into an electronic Enterprise Content Management system including both a physical storage layer and a workflow layer for processing the seeded first and second sets of data files,
- performing a data mining operation within the electronic Enterprise Content Management system for classifying the seeded first and second sets of data files according to the set of rules, and
- comparing the classifications of the first set of data files performed by the data mining operation with their predetermined classifications, and
- scoring results of the comparisons for evaluating the performance of the data mining operation.
A method of evaluating a rules-driven processing of data by a data processing system comprising steps of
- ingesting a first set of simulated data having predetermined contents into a workflow of an electronic Enterprise Content Management system including both a physical storage layer and a workflow layer,
- ingesting a second set of simulated data having predetermined contents into the workflow of the electronic Enterprise Content Management system,
- the simulated data from the first and second sets being logically related for producing an expected outcome according to a set of rules,
- processing the simulated data from the first and second sets within the electronic Enterprise Content Management system and producing a processed outcome, and
- comparing the processed outcome with the expected outcome to evaluate application of the rules.
