Abstract
The present invention relates to novel metalloproteinase inhibitors having an aryloxybenzenesulfonamide moiety and a carbamoylphosphonic acid moiety, to pharmaceutical compositions comprising them, and to their uses in the prevention and/or treatment of disease or disorder associated with MMP.

The compound according to 102, being a compound of formula (III):

A compound selected from Compound 1, 1A, 2, 2A, 3, 3A, 4, 4A, 5, 5A, 6, 7, 8, 8A, 8R, 8S, 9 and Compound 10, said compound being in a form selected from salt, internal salt, hydrate, polymorph, prodrug, racemic, stereoisomeric and diastereomeric mixtures.
