Abstract
A display apparatus is provided for a vehicle that includes, but is not limited to a scale having a plurality of scale values for at least one associated operating parameter of the vehicle, including, but not limited to an indicator for the display of a current operating parameter value. The scaling of the scale is variable and an adaptation of the scaling is made depending on the current operating parameter.

A display apparatus for a vehicle, comprising:
- a scale having a plurality of scale values for at least one associated operating parameter of the vehicle;
- and
- an indicator configured to display a current operating parameter value,
- wherein the plurality of scale values of the scale is variable and an adaptation of is made depending on a current operating parameter
