## Abstract

The system contained within this application for non-provisional patent protection provides the ability to convert municipal solid waste materials, used tires, various biomass including wood chips and other agricultural waste, and the addition of coal into synthesis gas (syngas), with oxygen as plasma gas. The system will accommodate the possibility for variation in feedstock co-gasification of the various materials with plasma torches that will be embedded in a plasma gasification unit. One converted into synthesis gas (syngas), the syngas will be cleaned of acid gases and carbon dioxide (CO2). Carbon dioxide will be captured and converted for various industrial applications instead of being released into the atmosphere. Clean syngas generated by the system will become the gas fuel for various energy solutions including clean electricity, as substitute for natural gas, and ultra clean FT synthetic fuels.

## Claims

### Claim 1

The complete process of Waste Materials, Coal, Used Tires and Biomass Conversion to Alternative Energy and Synthetic Fuels Solutions System with Carbon Dioxide Capture and Liquefaction with the following elements:—
Plasma gasification of municipal waste solid waste, coal, used tires and biomass into syngas.
Addition of the water gas shift for hydrogen production for syngas composition enrichment, fuel upgrade and commercial use,
Syngas cleanup system beginning with packed wet scrubbers with sodium hydroxide solution for HCI removal,
Dry scrubbers with limestone injectors for mercury and sulfur oxide control,
Absorber vessel for particulate matter, H2S and COS removal,
Cold methanol for CH4 control and CO2 capture.
Captured CO2 compression to a minimum of 5.1 atm, at temperature below 87 degrees Fahrenheit, liquefied, stored, and sold for commercial applications.
Clean syngas comprising of hydrogen and carbon monoxide generated in the process is piped to run gas turbine electrical generators for plant and equipment users
Clean syngas processing for use as substitute natural gas
Clean syngas piped for processing in Fischer Tropsch reactors for clean hydro carbon fuels including diesel and jet fuel.

### Claim 2

The gasification of municipal waste solid waste, coal, used tires and biomass, as co feeds, individually, and concurrently, with multiple plasma torches and with oxygen as gasifier gas for the production of syngas.

### Claim 3

The use of water gas shift with, and without electrolysis in the syngas stream to attain gas equilibrium, and enrich syngas with additional hydrogen.

### Claim 4

An acid gas cleanup system comprising of packed bed wet scrubbers with sodium hydroxide solution for hydrochloric acid removal
Dry scrubbers with limestone/hydrated lime injectors for mercury and sulfur oxide control,
Cold methanol as a solvent in dissolving methane, and for the capture of carbon dioxide from syngas stream for liquefaction and storage.

### Claim 5

After capture through the use of cold methanol as a solvent, the captured CO2 will be pressurized to a minimum of 5.1 atm, and the temperature maintained at below 87° Fahrenheit to ensure that the captured CO2 will remain in a liquid state.

### Claim 6

The addition of gas turbine generators, which will be fed by system generated syngas, will supply internal electrical power for the plasma torches and others electrical users within the whole system.

### Claim 7

This claim is for the processing of clean syngas as a substitute for natural gas, and for other commercial/industrial applications including the conversion to compressed natural gas CNG.

### Claim 8

System generated clean syngas with H2:CO ratio of over 1.0 exceeds the required syngas composition essential for FT synthesis, thereby enabling the production of ultra clean Fischer Tropsch synthetic fuels.
