White balance correction circuit and correction method for display apparatus that displays color image by controlling number of emissions or intensity thereof in accordance with plurality of primary color video signals

A display method of a plasma display apparatus to which a plurality of primary color video signals are inputted and which carries out color display by letting phosphors for a plurality of primary colors emit light, the display method comprises:

• detecting gray levels of the plurality of inputted primary color video signals;
• calculating correction coefficients for the plurality of primary color video signals based on the detected gray levels;
• adjusting the gray levels of the plurality of primary color video signals by multiplying the inputted primary color video signals by the calculated correction coefficients;
• and
• displaying images with using the primary color video signals whose gray levels are adjusted, wherein,
• in the correction coefficients for the plurality of primary color video signals, ratios of the correction coefficients among the plurality of primary color video signals are different at different gray levels.
