1-9. (canceled)
A method for reducing the risk of a thrombotic, embolic and/or hemorrhagic disorder in a mammal, wherein said mammal does not suffer from myocardial ischemia, said method comprising administering to a mammal who is at risk of a thrombotic, embolic and/or hemorrhagic disorder an effective amount of levosimendan or its metabolite (II):
- (R)—N-[4-(1,4,5,6-tetrahydro-4-methyl-6-oxo-3-pyridazinyl)phenyl]acetamide (II)
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of levosimendan or its metabolite (II).
A method of reducing the risk of a hemorrhage or a thrombotic or embolic occlusion of a blood vessel in a mammal having a high risk of hemorrhage or thrombotic or embolic occlusion of a blood vessel, wherein said mammal does not suffer from myocardial ischemia, said method comprising administering to the mammal an effective amount of levosimendan or its metabolite (II):
- (R)—N-[4-(1,4,5,6-tetrahydro-4-methyl-6-oxo-3-pyridazinyl)phenyl]acetamide (II)
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of levosimendan or its metabolite (II).
