Abstract
An electrophotographic photosensitive member having a surface layer containing a polymeric product obtained by polymerizing a specific adamantane compound, a process cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus which have the electrophotographic photosensitive member, and a process for producing the electrophotographic photosensitive member.
Claims12
An electrophotographic photosensitive member which comprises a surface layer containing a polymeric product obtained by polymerizing an adamantane compound represented by the following general formula (1):
- wherein R1 to R6 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a haloalkyl group, a hydroxyl group, an alkoxyl group, an amino group, an alkylamino group, a trialkylsilyl group or a halogen atom;
- and X1 to X10 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a haloalkyl group, a hydroxyl group, an alkoxyl group, an amino group, an alkylamino group, a trialkylsilyl group, a halogen atom or an organic group having a chain polymerizable functional group;
- where R1 and X1 may combine to form an oxo group (═O), R2 and X2 may combine to form an oxo group (═O), R3 and X3 may combine to form an oxo group (═O), R4 and X4 may combine to form an oxo group (═O), R5 and X5 may combine to form an oxo group (═O) and R6 and X6 may combine to form an oxo group (═O), provided that at least two of X1 to X10 are organic groups having chain polymerizable functional groups, and, where X1 is an organic group having a chain polymerizable functional group, R1 is a hydrogen atom, where X2 is an organic group having a chain polymerizable functional group, R2 is a hydrogen atom, where X3 is an organic group having a chain polymerizable functional group, R3 is a hydrogen atom, where X4 is an organic group having a chain polymerizable functional group, R4 is a hydrogen atom, where X5 is an organic group having a chain polymerizable functional group, R5 is a hydrogen atom, and where X6 is an organic group having a chain polymerizable functional group, R6 is a hydrogen atom.
