Abstract
Disclosed are methods for producing ZnO nanostructures, the methods comprising heating an aqueous solution comprising a zinc compound, a base, and a polymer which is polyvinylpyrrolidinone or poly(ethylene glycol).

A method for producing a ZnO nanostructure, the method comprising heating an aqueous solution comprising (1) a zinc compound, (2) a base, and (3) polyvinylpyrrolidinone (PVP) or poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG), to a temperature of greater than about 80 and less than 100° C.
