Abstract
A method for reducing capillary water uptake and preventing soil erosion is herein disclosed.

A method for reducing capillary water uptake and preventing soil erosion, comprising the steps of:
- providing a composition comprising:
- an emulsion of acrylic polymer, polyvinyl acetate polymer, glycerin, and water;
- and,
- a water repellant comprising potassium hydroxide, potassium or sodium methylsiliconate, and water;
- applying the composition to soil or road base materials;
- and,
- allowing the composition to penetrate the soil or road base materials.
