Abstract
A method of predicting a radiation pattern emitted by an energy applicator includes the steps of providing thermal profile data for an energy applicator, determining a specific absorption rate around the energy applicator as a function of the thermal profile data, and generating a simulated radiation pattern for the energy applicator as a function of the determined specific absorption rate.
Claims17
A method of predicting a radiation pattern emitted by an energy applicator, comprising the steps of:
- providing thermal profile data for an energy applicator;
- determining a specific absorption rate around the energy applicator as a function of the thermal profile data;
- and
- generating a simulated radiation pattern for the energy applicator as a function of the determined specific absorption rate around the energy applicator.
A method of analyzing time-series image data to determine the specific absorption rate around an energy applicator, comprising the steps of:
- acquiring a time-series image data associated with an energy applicator;
- selecting a color band of the time-series image data;
- thresholding the time-series image data to detect an inner boundary and an outer boundary of the selected color band in each image data of the thresholded time-series image data;
- determining a change in temperature as a function of positional transition of the inner boundary and the outer boundary of each image data of the thresholded time-series image data;
- and
- calculating a specific absorption rate around the energy applicator as a function of the determined change in temperature.
