Abstract
Information is presented to a user based on a current state of an end-user device (e.g., a mobile phone). In one embodiment, a method includes: detecting, via a user device, a predefined user motion of a user (e.g., a flick of a trackball or gesture on a touch screen); determining a current state of the user device based on at least one characteristic; and in response to detecting the user motion, presenting, via a display of the user device, information (e.g., a person profile) to the user based on the current state.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- detecting, via a user device, a predefined user motion of a user;
- determining a current state of the user device based on at least one characteristic;
- and
- in response to detecting the user motion, presenting, via a display of the user device, information to the user based on the current state.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium tangibly storing thereon computer-readable instructions, the instructions causing a user device to perform a method, the method comprising:
- running an application, on the user device, requested by a user via a user interface of the user device;
- receiving a request for information from the user associated with use of the application by the user;
- determining a current state of the user device based on at least one characteristic of the user device;
- and
- in response to the request, presenting, via a display of the user device, information to the user based on the current state.
A user device, comprising:
- a display to provide a user interface to a user;
- a user input device for the user to interact with the user interface;
- and
- at least one processor configured to perform a method comprising:
- detecting a predefined user motion on the user input device;
- determining a current state of the user device based on at least one characteristic of the user device;
- and
- in response to detecting the user motion, presenting, via the display, information to the user based on the current state.
