Abstract
A control system and computer readable instructions abort or continue rotation of a mill during startup based upon an acceleration of rotation of the mill.
Claims17
A control system for use with a mill and a rotary actuator configured to apply torque to the mill, the control system comprising:
- a sensor configured to sense a parameter corresponding to rotation of the mill;
- and
- a controller in communication with a sensor and configured to abort or continue rotation of the mill during startup based upon an acceleration of the rotation of the mill.
A computer readable medium comprising:
- instructions to cease rotation of a mill during start up based upon acceleration of rotation of the mill.
