## Abstract

The present disclosure generally provides an integrated system of gathering and analyzing inventory data in real-time using a hand-held scanner in communication with a network, database, and user interface. The hand-held scanner could be remotely accessed and updated using a wireless connection and thus improving efficiency and minimizing downtime. The integrated system thus allows data collected by the hand-held scanner to be queried, analyzed, and aggregated to assess various inventory related issues including, for example, inventory levels, projected sales figures, and reordering information in real-time.

## Claims

### Claim 1

An inventory scanning and analysis system comprising:
a device having a scanner, a handle, and a trigger disposed on the handle to operate the scanner; and
a communication module to wirelessly communicate data associated with inventory scanned by the device to a remote user interface.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the scanner comprises a photo-electric source to scan images proximate to the device.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1 further comprising:
a screen to display information associated with the device.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the communication module wirelessly communicates data from the device to a cellular network in real-time.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the communication module is configured to receive data from a cellular network.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the removable handle comprises a quick-release connection to connect the handle to the housing of the device.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1 further comprising:
an actuator disposed on the device, wherein the function of the actuator is programmable.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the device is configurable using software received from a cellular network.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the remote user interface comprises a graphical user interface associated with a website.

### Claim 10

An inventory scanning and analysis system comprising:
a device having a scanner, a handle, and a trigger disposed on the handle to operate the scanner, wherein the device is configurable using information received from a wireless network; and
a communication module to communicate data in real-time between the scanning device and a graphical user interface associated with a website using the wireless network.

### Claim 11 (depends on 10)

The system of claim 10, wherein the scanner comprises a photo-electric source to scan images proximate to the device.

### Claim 12 (depends on 10)

The system of claim 10 further comprising:
a screen to display information associated with the device.

### Claim 13 (depends on 10)

The system of claim 10, wherein the wireless network comprises a cellular network.

### Claim 14 (depends on 10)

The system of claim 10, wherein the removable handle comprises a quick-release connection to connect the handle to the housing of the device.

### Claim 15 (depends on 10)

The system of claim 10 further comprising:
a set of programmable actuators disposed on the device.

### Claim 16 (depends on 10)

The system of claim 10, wherein the data comprises information associated with inventory scanned by the device.

### Claim 17

An inventory scanning and analysis system comprising:
a device having a scanner;
a screen disposed on the device to display information associated with the device;
a set of programmable actuators disposed on the device;
a handle removably disposed on the device;
a trigger disposed on the handle to operate the scanner, wherein the device is configurable using information received from a wireless network; and
a communication module to communicate data between the scanning device and a graphical user interface associated with a website using the wireless network in real-time.

### Claim 18 (depends on 17)

The system of claim 17, wherein the scanner comprises a photo-electric source to scan images proximate to the device.

### Claim 19 (depends on 17)

The system of claim 17, wherein the wireless network comprises a wireless cellular network.

### Claim 20 (depends on 17)

The system of claim 17, wherein the data comprises information associated with inventory scanned by the device.
