Abstract
A composite floor panel includes a concrete floor deck having a side portion and an edge member secured to the side portion. The edge member is configured to be positioned in proximity to an adjacent edge member. The adjacent edge member is coupled to an adjacent concrete floor deck. The edge member is further configured to have a junction formed between the edge member and the adjacent edge member to define a channel. The edge member is further configured to have a binder material placed in the channel to form a joint between the concrete floor deck and the adjacent concrete floor deck.
Claims32
A composite floor panel, comprising:
- a concrete floor deck having a side portion and an edge member secured to said side portion, wherein said edge member is configured to be positioned in proximity to an adjacent edge member, the adjacent edge member being coupled to an adjacent concrete floor deck, said edge member being further configured to have a junction formed between said edge member and the adjacent edge member to define a channel, said edge member being further configured to have a binder material placed in the channel to form a joint between said concrete floor deck and the adjacent concrete floor deck.
A precast structural floor system, comprising:
- a first concrete floor deck having a first side and a first edge member secured to the first side;
- a second concrete floor deck having a second side and a second edge member secured to the second side;
- and
- a joint, the joint including a junction joining the first edge member and the second edge angle member, wherein a channel is defined between the first edge member, the second edge member, and the junction, and wherein the joint further includes a binder material placed in the channel.
A method of forming a precast structural floor system, comprising:
- precasting a first floor deck having a first side and a first edge member secured to the first side;
- precasting a second floor deck having a second side and a second edge member secured to the second side;
- securing the first edge member to the second edge member to define a channel between the first floor deck and the second floor deck;
- and
- placing a binder material in the channel.
A method of forming a precast structural floor system, comprising:
- providing a first edge member, the first edge member including a lateral portion and a transverse portion;
- securing a first reinforcement to the lateral portion of the first edge member;
- casting the first edge member into a first concrete floor deck;
- providing a second edge member, the second edge member including a lateral portion and a transverse portion;
- securing a second reinforcement to the lateral portion of the second edge member;
- casting the second edge member into a second concrete floor deck;
- securing the transverse portion of the first edge member to the transverse portion of the second edge member to define a channel, the first reinforcement and the second reinforcement extending into the channel;
- and
- placing a binder material in the channel and over the first reinforcement and the second reinforcement.
