Abstract
A method and system for providing a query using an image is disclosed. A search keyword is determined using an image and position information of a terminal that are received from the terminal. Search queries associated with the determined search keyword are provided to the terminal. Lower search queries may be provided to the terminal if one of the provided search queries is selected.

A method for providing a query, the method comprising:
- receiving at least one image;
- receiving position information of a terminal;
- determining a search keyword based on the received image and the received position information of the terminal;
- and
- providing at least one search query associated with the determined search keyword.

- an image receiving unit to receive at least one image and position information of a terminal;
- a search keyword determination unit to determine at least one search keyword based on the received at least one image and the received position information of the terminal;

- transmitting an image and position information;
- receiving at least one search query based on the transmitted image and the position information;

- displaying the received at least one search query,
- wherein the at least one search query is determined using a tag of a transmitted image that matches a tag of an image among images uploaded from terminals positioned within a reference distance of the terminal.
