Abstract
A system for monitoring the intended injection of a fluid into a fluid conduit in the body, wherein the fluid to be injected may include a first fluid, the system: introducing a pulse into the fluid to be injected and monitoring the flow characteristics of fluid in the fluid conduit in the body at a location downstream of the point of injection.

A method of monitoring the intended injection of a fluid into a fluid conduit in the body, wherein the fluid to be injected comprises a first fluid, the method comprising:
- introducing a pulse into the fluid to be injected and monitoring the flow characteristics of fluid in the fluid conduit in the body at a location downstream of the point of injection.
An apparatus for supplying fluid for injection into the body, the apparatus comprising:
- a first pump device for supplying a first fluid to the body, a pulsing device for applying a pulse to the fluid to be injected, and a conduit for conveying the fluid incorporating the pulse into the fluid conduit of the body.
A method of supplying a fluid for injection into a fluid conduit in the body, wherein the fluid to be injected comprises a first fluid, the method comprising:
- introducing a pulse into the fluid to be injected in order to temporarily change the flow rate of the injected fluid and conveying the fluid the fluid incorporating the pulse into the fluid conduit of the body.
