Abstract
A video game permits player characters to form relationships, including parent-child relationships. In addition, death and reincarnation of player characters can be employed as features of the video game.
Claims12
A method performed by a computer, the method comprising:
- retrieving, by a Video Game Central Server, a plurality of player attributes of a player;
- determining, by the Video Game Central Server, if the plurality of player attributes qualify for a relationship;
- if the attributes qualify for a relationship, flagging, by the Video Game Central Server, a character account of the player as eligible for a relationship;
- outputting, by the Video Game Central Server, relationship availability to the player character;
- retrieving, by the Video Game Central Server, a request to form a relationship by contract;
- outputting, by the Video Game Central Server, parameters for the contract;
- receiving, by the Video Game Central Server, conditions for the contract;
- and
- creating, by the Video Game Central Server, a new relationship contract record based on the conditions for the contract.

- a computer readable medium in communication with the processor;
- in which the computer readable medium stores instructions which, when executed by the processor, direct the processor to
- retrieve a plurality of player attributes of a player;

- if the attributes qualify for a relationship, flag a character account of the player as eligible for a relationship;
- output relationship availability to the player character;
- retrieve a request to form a relationship by contract;
- output parameters for the contract;
- receive conditions for the contract;

- create a new relationship contract record based on the conditions for the contract.
