A layered material comprising
- (i) a first layer comprising polyvinylbutyral (PVB), and
- (ii) a second layer comprising an adhesive, wherein the first layer comprises irradiation-treated areas.
Method of making a decorative film or a label comprising
- a) providing a layered-material containing a first layer containing polyvinylbutyral and a second layer containing an adhesive,
- b) treating the first layer with irradiation to generate a pattern displaying information or an image.
Use of a layered material comprising
- (i) a first layer comprising polyvinylbutyral (PVB), and
- (ii) a second layer comprising an adhesive for making laser-marked labels or decorative films.
